Our limited edition wild harvested organic Buchu and organic Rooibos teas have been sustainably sourced from the mountainous areas surrounding the farm in their natural habitat deep in the Cederberg mountains.
Skimmelberg has a stewardship agreement with Cape Nature to protect the natural wild growing Buchu and Rooibos in the mountains surrounding the farm, only harvesting once every three years.
Our well trained team enters the mountains by foot, looking for the natural growing Rooibos and Buchu, harvesting the plants by hand and carrying it down the mountains by foot to create the smallest impact possible on the natural environment.
Both Buchu and Rooibos are native species to the Cederberg area in Western Cape of South Africa. The wild taste of nature can be found in every cup of our organic wild harvested tea.
