The deep blue tone of Cape Chamomile essential oil perfectly captures its calming essence. Due to its chamazulene content, it is hailed as an alternative to German chamomile which was used for its anti-inflammatory properties as far back as Ancient Egyptian times. True to its hue, Cape Chamomile calms the mind and is believed to promote good sleep and relief from stress and anxiety. Today it is used in natural cosmetics, artisanal perfumery and even gin distillation.
I use this oil to make my own blends . It is truly a lovely calming oil and smells beautiful.
